​​​We are Carter and Caroline Robbins, longtime residents of Grand County. Drawing from our six years of living here and our personal experience as dog owners, we identified a significant gap in reliable pet care services. Motivated by our passion for animals and the community's need for accessible pet care solutions, we took the initiative to establish CR Pet Care. Over a year ago, we started by offering dog walking and drop-in pet sitting services, responding to an enthusiastic demand from local pet owners. Our experience handling various breeds, sizes, and temperaments during this period (and loving it all) solidified our decision to help resolve an issue and expand into boarding services.

We are excited to launch our boarding space and where we are committed to providing exceptional care for pets of all kinds. Our dedication to professionalism, reliability, and the well-being of animals drives everything we do. At CR Pet Care, we pride ourselves on our structured boarding system designed to ensure the comfort and well-being of every dog entrusted to us. Located within our home in Grand County, we have transformed our garage into a dedicated boarding space and reserved a section of our yard exclusively for our boarders. Our approach to boarding includes a carefully planned schedule of activities that cater to each dog's needs and preferences.

 

These activities range from supervised indoor and outdoor free play to multiple group or household walks throughout the day. We also provide designated downtime for relaxation, enrichment activities such as lick mats and snuffle mats, and basic training sessions. With our bedroom adjacent to the boarding area, we provide continuous 24/7 supervision and care, including regular check-ins throughout the night.

Our commitment to safety and minimizing stress ensures that each dog has a positive and enjoyable experience when staying with us. At our facility, each dog receives their own dedicated kennel for stays, and are inside the kennels from 9:00 PM until 7:00 AM. Throughout the day, during activities like lick mats or enrichment sessions, dogs are temporarily placed in their individual kennels for no more than an hour. When they are not in their kennel, dogs enjoy supervised free play in our indoor and outdoor areas, which are segregated and rotated by household.

 

Rest assured that we maintain round-the-clock monitoring to ensure the safety and well-being of all pets, whether they are in separate areas or interacting together. We are always present, especially during interactions between dogs from different households commingling.  

 

Prior to boarding, we require owners to submit proof of DHPP/DAPP, Rabies, and Bordetella vaccinations, along with completing our comprehensive application form. Additionally, all dogs must demonstrate friendliness towards other dogs and humans to ensure a safe environment for everyone. 

 

Our goal at CR Pet Care is to create a "camp-like" atmosphere where dogs can feel safe, have fun, and thrive during their stay with us. To keep owners informed and engaged, we utilize the Walkies app, which provides real-time updates on each dog's activities and well-being. We can insure this by only allowing up to 6 dogs at a time.  

 

We absolutely love dogs but we love providing exceptional care even more and pursuing a dream of owning our own dog daycare.
